GANGTOK, 14 Nov: BAC Regu, HRDD, East, organised sub-division level programme at Rongli Bazar on National Education Day with BDO, Dhiraj Pradhan as the chief guest.
A rally was organised from Garg Bhawan to Rongli Bazar and back. A street play on the theme of RTE Act was presented by the Culture Department on the day along with other cultural presentations.
Messages of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister were read out by the chief guest and AD, HRDD/ BAC, Regu, Chador Bhutia respectively.
SDPO Rongli, PI Rongli, Principal/ Headmaster and teachers of different government and private schools of Rongli (Rongli JHS, God Sun’s Preparatory School, Sunrise Model School and Vidhya Bharati School), Staff of Regu BAC, SMC members, guardians, local public and students participated in the programme.
The day was also celebrated by different Sr. Secondary, Secondary, Primary and private schools under HRDD/BAC Regu. [ from BHANURAJ THAPA]
