GANGTOK, 13 Nov: Government Primary School, Katuk Vidhyasagar, Lingdum in East Sikkim also observed National Education Day on 11 November.
The programme began with reading out of the message of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union HRDD Minister, Kapil Sibal by the Headmaster, SK Chettri followed by the reading of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling’s message by assistant teacher, K. Sharma. All the three messages were briefly translated into Nepali by senior teacher, SP Sharma for the students.
The programme was also attended by the members of School Managing Committee and also included a rally through the village by students carrying placards carrying messages pertaining to the Right to Education Act and other related issues.
