GANGTOK, 10 Apr: About 13 youths of Omega Church, Development Area, Gangtok Sikkim led by Sanjay Mukhia visited Ishawaar Ramba Samiti Sangh Old Age Home, a home for the homeless elderly people at Jalipul, East Sikkim as well as Mayalmu Sangh, another home for destitutes on 08 April.
A press release informs that during the visit, the youth prayed for the inmates, talked to them, shared their thoughts and also performed group songs and other items to entertain them. They also donated vegetables, fruits, chicken etc.
The caretaker Ishawaar Ramba Samiti Sangh Old Age Home, Laxmi Sharma expressed her gratitude for such a benevolent act on the part of young people. Similarly, the inmates also expressed their happiness and extended their invitation for future visits, the release mentions.
The visit on the part of Omega youth was one of many such activities of public welfare being undertaken by them. More such activities will be undertaken in future, it is added.
