GYALSHING, 06 Apr [IPR]: State Awareness Observer, Dr. Engam
Pame, kicked off his visit to the West District by having a brief stopover at
the Election Control Room, Gyalshing on 05 April. In his second visit to the
district in less than a month, he interacted with the various Nodal Officers
and took stock of the election preparedness, mainly in respect of voter
awareness and facilitation.
Dr. Pame was particularly interested in knowing about the
various voter awareness programmes undertaken by the District to encourage
young voters to register their votes. He will be visiting polling stations located
in interior pockets of the district to assess the basic minimum facilities
offered to the voters and also the level of awareness among them.
