GANGTOK, 08 Apr: Continuing his election campaign, the Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee president and Lok Sabha candidate of the Congress, Dr. AD Subba addressed a meeting at Rhenock Bazaar in East Sikkim today.
An SPCC press release informs that Dr Subba assured to work in the interest of the people of Sikkim if elected. The party has said that Dr Subba is the cleanest and most honest candidate amongst the 6 Lok Sabha candidates contesting the upcoming election.
The party’s candidate from Rhenock, Padam Chettri, in turn alleged that in the 20 years of SDF government, except Lampokhari no tourism infrastructure was developed in the area and all developmental benefits went only to the area MLA Bhim Dhungel and his family. He assured to continue working for the area even if he does not win the election.
The meeting was also addressed by Tara Shrestha and Gopal Chettri. The release informs that in the afternoon, Dr Subba also addressed a meeting at Singtam. He assured to work for the overall development of the state if he is elected as MP. Likewise, Singtam-Khamdong candidate Punya Koirala also assured to work sincerely for the area.
