Have support of 75% of Sikkimese, claims SKM

GANGTOK, 08 Apr: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha has claimed to have support from 75% of the people and that the party president, PS Tamang [Golay] has been getting an encouraging response from people in his campaign tour across the state. The party has further said that it will secure support from 90% of the people by 11 April.
Addressing a press conference today, SKM general secretary [publicity], Jacob Khaling said that a good number of Sikkim Democratic Front candidates will have their security deposits forfeited this election. The people of Sikkim will reject tainted and charge sheeted candidates of the SDF party, he added.
Listing out the names and addresses of some people caught by the police recently, Mr Rai alleged that the SDF party has been hiring people from outside the state to create unrest in this election.
Mr Khaling stated that the party strongly condemns such acts by the SDF party and further urged the people of Darjeeling hills not to get used by the SDF party.
