GANGTOK, 30 June: Paryavaran Mahotsav was celebrated with a plantation drive in the STNM hospital today. The programme was supported by the Department of Forest, Environment and Wildlife.
A press release informs, Minister Health Care, Human Services and Family Welfare, AK Ghatani attended the program where he also planted a sapling in the hospital premises.
The program was attended by Secretary Health, Dr. K Bhandari, PCC cum Medical Superintendent, Dr. Yogesh Verma, Doctors and staff of the STNM hospital who actively participated in the plantation drive. Officers and staff from the Department of Forest Environment and Wildlife were also present during the function.
The Minister during the plantation program encouraged all to participate in making the hospital premises clean and green. After the plantation the Minister inspected the hospital premises and gave necessary instructions for future infrastructure developments within the hospital, the release mentions.
