GANGTOK, 04 July: Awareness programmes and broom binding training were conducted at five Micro watersheds falling under Integrated Watershed Management Programme-IV South District from 09-12 June.
A press release informs that the programme was organized by the Forest Department at Kau Khola, Ramphok Khola Micro Watersheds. During the training programme, the beneficiaries were trained on broom binding and briefed on developmental works to be carried out in the project areas.
Broom binding training was given by KB Thapa and awareness programme was conducted by SLNA staff in the presence of Ashok Kumar Pradhan [DFO-cum-PIA], Sanjeev Kumar Rai [R.O-cum-Project leader], SLNA staffs, local Panchayats, respective Watershed Secretaries and local villagers.
