GANGTOK, 13 July: A road accident on Friday claimed the life of a 6-year-old girl of Passi, South Sikkim.
A jeep [Commander] had hit the girl on Passi Road in South Sikkim at around 5 pm on 11 July. The victim was immediately taken to Melli PHC from where she was referred to Siliguri for further treatment. On the way to Siliguri, the victim succumbed to her injuries.
A case has been registered at Melli Police Station against the driver of the vehicle. Accused driver Nar Bir Kalikotay (31 yrs) and one co-accused driver Birkha Bdr. Kami (21 yrs), residents of Suntalay Basti, South have been arrested by Melli Police.
