This, the Excise Department informs, has been done on the directions of the Narcotic Control Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, which is the nodal agency for Drug Law Enforcement.
As per the Ministry’s directions, all licensed liquor vendors like shops and bars in the country have been directed to have this board displayed prominently.
While talking to NOW!, Principal Secretary Excise Department, Arun Kumar Yadav, informed that this initiative has been taken by the Ministry to help control the rampant abuse of drugs by youth especially school and college students.
