Mangan gets a multi-gym

MANGAN, 23 July: A “Multi-Gym” has been established here under the initiative of the Mangan Nagar Panchayat. Rajya Sabha MP, Hishey Lachungpa, today inaugurated the gym established under the MP-Local Area Development fund, the said gym has been developed at the cost of Rs. 10 lakh and has been established at the Multi Storey Car Plaza.
“We have established this Multi Gym targeting the youth who we hope to involve more in fitness than getting caught in harmful distractions and will be charging a minimal fee,” said Mangan Nagar Panchayat president, Karma Jigdel Bhutia, while speaking to NOW!
Mr. Bhutia further appealed to all the people to take the advantage of the facility and on behalf of the MNP extended gratitude to the MP for providing the scheme to the people of Mangan and North Sikkim.
The inauguration was also attended by North Zilla Upadhakshya NT Lepcha, DC-North TN Kazi, SP RN Yadav, and the residents. Also present were ADC North, Raj Yadav, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry, KT Bhutia, Deputy Director FCS, PW Lepcha, MNP councilors, officials and the business community of Mangan Bazar.
