GANGTOK, 20 July [IPR]: The valedictory function of compulsory foundation course training programme for third batch of newly appointed Account Clerks was held here at the office of Accounts and Administrative Training Institute (AATI) Gangtok on Saturday.
Altogether 48 trainees had attended the four-week long training programme which had commenced on 23 June 2014. During the training session Resource Persons, Principal Director (AATI) Deepak Darnal, Joint Director (FRED) CC Bhutia and Sr. Faculty Officer S K Mishra enlightened the trainees on the subject of Govt. Accounting Rules 1990, Sikkim Financial Rules 1979, Comptroller and Auditor General ( Duties & Powers and Conditions of Service) Act, Sikkim Public Works Code and Manual 2009, Handbook of payment instructions under pay & accounts office, etc.
Expecting satisfactory performance from the participants Pr. Director Mr Darnal emphasized on the need of practical utilization of valuable knowledge imparted during the training session while discharging their duties. In the concluding session trainees also presented souvenirs to the resource persons. The programme also saw presentation of songs by the participants.
