GANGTOK, 20 July: The Human Resource and Development Department has announced that government colleges will reopen from 23 July. Classes for the first semester students will start only from 01 August, informs Principal Sikkim Government Degree College, Tadong, Dr. MP Kharel in a press release.
Meanwhile, Sikkim Government College Tadong authorities have also said that only students in uniform and with identity cards will be allowed entry in the college. Those without uniforms or identity cards will not be allowed entry, the college has said, appealing to the parents and guardians of the students for cooperation and urged them not to gather in the college premises.
The college administration has also said that students are only allowed to enter the college from the main gate and all other gates of the colleges will remain closed.
