GANGTOK, 23 July: Sikkim Democratic Front’s recently appointed East district president, DB Thapa, chaired a coordination meeting with senior functionaries of the party, including the elected representatives of the party, yesterday in pursuance of the party president’s directions for formation of central executive body.
The meeting was also attended by the party spokesperson K T Gyaltsen, general secretary SK Pradhan, KB Chamling, Ministers, Chief Whip, councilors and party supporters and focused on the reorganization of party in the district, constituency and block levels.
The meeting unanimously resolved to work with full commitment for the party, an SDF press release informs, adding that the party will also consciously strive to make its youth more assertive, transformative and energetic.
The party’s former youth in-charge, Minister Ugen T Gyatso urged the party’s senior members to work towards making the party’s youth and youth base stronger and the organizational structure stronger.
The meeting also decided to appoint district level and constituency level presidents, convenors and other office bearers as per the provision of the party constitution and will also nominate members to the Central Executive Committee.
