NAMCHI, 20 July: Nepali film ‘Biteka Pal’ directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ is to be released at Hotel Chu-Lyang in Ravangla, South Sikkim, today. This was informed during a press conference organised by Cultural Association for Revolutionary Effect [CARE] held on Saturday.
The film is produced by Rajesh Ghatani and introduces Avinash Gurung in the lead role. The film also features well known actors Keki Adhikari and Baboo Bogati along with some artists from Sikkim as well.
The film was launched in Nepal on January 10, 2014 under the banner of Big Production Pvt Ltd. Kathmandu. The film tells the story of a girl who wants to tell the world that she exists. Almost 90% of the film is shot in Darjeeling.
Twenty per cent of the collection will be contributed to Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Institute for the Handicapped (JNMIH), Boomtar, Namchi.
The film will be screened in Namchi on 26 and 27 July in a show supported by CARE.
