GANGTOK, 03 Apr: Sikkim
Democratic Front [SDF] party’s Shyari candidate, KT Gyaltsen, interacted with
the people, especially the youth and businessmen of Chandmari on the evening of
02 April. During his interaction, he asked the students to form a group, choose
a leader and meet him after the elections. He also asked the business community
to do the same.
Speaking to the youth, he advised that they go through the
books of the SDF party as these contained a lot of issues related to them.
Students need to understand politics but also need education for their future,
he said, underlining that students are the leaders of tomorrow.
The two biggest problems in today’s world are illiteracy and
poverty which can be exploited by antisocial elements, so the youth need to remain
alert and stay away from negative influences, he stated.
There has been peace and tranquility under the leadership of
Chief Minister Pawan Chamling in the state for the past 20 years and Sikkim has
developed manifold, he added, urging the youth to vote for SDF in the coming
elections and added that there is no alternative to Pawan Chamling as he is an
experienced leader and no new leader can do what he has done for the people and
the state.
“The government’s job is to provide good governance and
opportunities and my job is to work for the people of my constituency and I
will not mislead my people. The people of Chandmari can see the amount of
development that has taken place in the last five years during my tenure as an
MLA and this time around also I have been given the ticket from the same
constituency so vote for me and the SDF party for further development of the
area and the people,” he stated.
He also informed the people of the SDF party meeting to be
held at Chongaytar which will be addressed by the SDF president on 04 April and
invited the people, the youth and the business community to attend the meeting.
