GANGTOK, 01 Apr: SDF candidate for Gangtok, Hissey Lachungpa, today presented an overview of his plans for the capital if voted to government.
Speaking to reporters today, Mr. Lachungpa informed that he has come up with a plan after interacting with Gangtokians in the course of his campaign and other occasions. He said that Gangtok will be developed as a model town and all problems that have not been addressed till now will be looked into.
The sitting Rajya Sabha MP promised to develop public spaces for the elderly, children and tourists. A good library, road connectivity, traffic decongestion, alternative parking facilities, community hall for all social functions, and good health clubs were some of the commitments made by Mr Lachungpa.
He further assured to address the long pending grievance regarding the registration of flats and buildings in Municipal areas belonging to the old business community by enacting a law in the state assembly.
If voted to office as an MLA from the capital, he assured to look into area-spcific issues not covered in the party’s overall manifesto for the State.
