GANGTOK, 01 Dec: The first house completed under the Chief Minister’s Rural Housing Mission at Upper Tintek Ward of Rakdong Tintek GPU was inaugurated on 25 Nov by the area MLA [Tumin Lingee], Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia, following which the house was handed over to the beneficiary, Bhim Bahadur Pandey, informs a press release issued by the BDO, Tenzing D Denzongpa.
The MLA, while inaugurating the house, paid rich homage to the farsightedness of the Chief Minister, a vision and commitment to the people, which, he said, had made a reality of every underprivileged person’s dream of owning a Pucca house. The scheme, he added, has been so prepared so as to ensure quality construction works.
A total of 107 houses have been sanctioned under CMRHM in the Rakdong Tintek Block with 10 on the verge of completion.
Others present for the inauguration ceremony were member of State Planning Commission, Lakila Tongden, former MLA Norzang Lepcha, Zilla member, Saraswati Regmi, JE, Rajni Jairu and Sonam Thendupn Bhutia, APO, Khushboo Subba, Panchayats and local residents.
The programme was condcted by IK Neopaney and vote of thanks proposed by Ward panchayat, Tika Maya Pandey.
