Red Fest team reaches Modern Senior Secondary School

GANGTOK, 28 Nov: ‘Positive Intervention’, a direct intervention in schools and colleges, was organized by the Red fest team at Modern Senior Secondary School on 28 November. Students of class eight and above benefitted from this programme, informs a press release.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Principal Modern SSS, DK Pradhan, said, “The initiative by Sikkim State AIDS Control Society is a noble one and I am thankful to the entire team of Red fest for visiting this School.  Prevention is the only cure when it comes to HIV & AIDS, and so I appeal to my students to get maximum benefit from this programme.”
Nodal teacher for Red Ribbon Club, Sunita Rasaily, stated, “Red Fest is informative and entertaining. It is a big step towards educating students who are still ignorant about HIV & AIDS. Intervention at this age helps children become responsible citizens.” , the release mentions.
At the end of the programme, the Principal handed out the prizes and certificates.
