JORETHANG, 24 April: A co-ordination meeting of the School Managing Committee (SMC) of Tinik Chisopani Government Junior High School was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of advisor, SMC Tinik Chisopani, Uma Nath Sanyasi.
During the meeting, Headmaster Dawa Tshering Sherpa presented the progress report of the school and detailed the problems being faced by the school.
He also informed that two students from the school - Mansing Rai in 2010 and Salish Rai in 2011- had been selected for the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme. The members thanked the Chief Minister for introducing such a scheme for students of government schools.
SMC members also expressed their gratitude towards the government and HRD Ddepartment for up-grading Chisopani Primary School to Junior High School level and for the expeditious sanction of a school building under SSA.
The meeting also discussed the implementation of CCE and RTE at the school and urged all ward panchayat members to cooperate with the school.
The meeting was attended by Panchayats of Chisopani GPU and members of SMC.
