“We had invited 150 people to participate in the event but only 20 of them turned up. We are not discouraged though because we believe that the process ofchange begins with a few,” Vivek Subba, the general secretary of “I-Fraternity” said.
Satya Pradhan, the keynote speaker, presented a power-point presentation on the significance of Earth Day.
He highlighted the areas of concern such as climate change and natural disasters and the need to conserve natural resources for future use.
Formed in the year 2008, I-Fraternity is a national organization formed by NIT students of Jalandhar that works on social reformation and other issues.
“We are planning to work on drugs and suicides now,” Mr. Subba informed.
