GANGTOK, 29 May: 18-year-old Rabi Ranjan Prasad of Sir Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School has become the class XII state topper among government schools, securing 92.6% in Bio-Science [additional Maths]. His report card read: Biology- 95, Physics- 95, Mathematics- 95, Chemistry- 93 and English- 85.
Speaking to the media today, he informed that he has scored the highest amongst government school students in all streams in the state. Rabi has already appeared for the All India Pre Medical Test [AIPMT] on 02 May from Patna and is waiting for the results which will be declared in the first week of June.
He informed that he did not take any coaching classes or extra classes to prepare for the boards and has credited his parents and school teachers for his success. “I would like to thank my sirs MN Singh [Chemistry], PN Singh [Maths], Anupurna Saha [Physics] Binod Pokhrel [Biology] for their guidance at school,” said Rabi. His ambition is to become a cardiologist in the future.
