GM Gurung returns to Temi-Namphing on thanksgiving and outreach tour

GANGTOK, 27 May: Roads and Bridges and Cultural Affairs Minister, GM Gurung visited his constituency Temi-Namphing on 26 May for the first time since his win in the recent elections.
A press release informs that he started his tour by first seeking blessings at the famous Durga Shiv Mandir at Temi Bazaar. He was welcomed by the Mandir Committee and a grand Puja was conducted.
Mr Gurung had visited the Mandir before the elections as well. The Mandir Committee president, MK Pradhan requested that the Mandir be developed with better infrastructure considering the steady flow of devotees. The Minister assured to develop the Mandir with a bigger complex, the release mentions.
He then met with all the 32 ward Panchayats at Temi Gram Vikas Kendra where he stressed on inclusive growth of the region and reminded them that the general public now had great expectations of development and it was up to the Panchayats to help execute the projects in their respective GPUs with sincerity and keeping the SDF party principles intact. Mr Gurung also took feedback and suggestions from the Panchayats and promised to address grievances.
At Temi Haat, he was welcomed by the SDF party workers from CLC level where he was congratulated on his win. He addressed the party workers and thanked them for their support in the elections. The roadmap of the SDF party was discussed with the workers and he asked them to work with due diligence for the betterment of the society and the party, the release adds.
