The new executive body is headed by Karma P Takapa as the president, RP Gurung as vice president-I, Chewang Bonpo as vice president-II, Karma Tempo Ethenpa as general secretary, Madan Gurung as joint secretary and Pempa Tshering Bhutia as treasurer, the release informs.
S Norgey Lachungpa, Lakpa Sherpa, Niraj Thapa, Prena Tamang and Basant Sharma have been inducted as executive members while KC Pradhan is the chief patron, Yap Kancha as patron and Dr Partho [WWF] is the technical advisor.
SOS was founded in 2006 under the presidentship of forester and former Chief Secretary, KC Pradhan.
