MANGAN, 02 Dec: A training, orientation cum sensitization programme for AD's, AEO's, coordinators, Preraks, PEA's & VT's and panchayats of Chungthang, Mangan, Passingdang and Kabi BAC along with district level officers was organized by the State Literacy Mission Authority (SLMA) and State Resource Centre, West Bengal at Mangan Zilla Bhawan on 01 Dec.
The Deputy Director, HRDD, HP Dhakal shared information on the Saakshar Bharat Mission which is to be achieved by 06 March 2012. He urged all the Preraks to work hard and informed that their salaries would be delivered after 08 Dec. He also said that a monthly report should be submitted to the Department.
Senior Coordinator, Kolkata, Satish Theng deliberated on SLMA, SRC, Block Literacy Saakshar Samity (BLSS), preparation for evaluation on 06 March 2012, role of Preraks, panchayat, bridge information, registering of new learners and feed back.
The chief guest, DM North, TN Kazi, in his address said that, education aids the life long development of all human beings and the nation’s progress depends on it therefore, the Saakshar Bharat Mission is very important and Preraks and panchayats should fully support it to make it a success.
The programme was also attended by AD, ST Lepcha, HRDD Mangan and staff.
