GANGTOK, 05 Dec: All Sikkim Educated Self-Employed & Unemployed Association [ASESE&UA] has decided to “thank” the District Collector [West], Santa Pradhan, by meeting him at his office very soon for taking service extension under its ongoing ‘Thank You’ programme to protest the extension.
Speaking to media persons today, the ASESE&UA president, Nawin Kiran informed that the DC got the extension from 01 December, so, under its ‘Thank You’ programme the association has decided to thank the DC for taking away the rights of the junior officers. This is obviously a gesture aimed to embarrass officials who opt for service extensions, a move, which ASESE&UA argues, blocks the creation of new employment.
Supporting ASESE&UA’s stand on extension, SIBLAC convenor, Tseten Lepcha also urged bureaucrats, technocrats and police officials not to take extension at the cost of Sikkimese people’s future.
