GANGTOK, 06 July: Sikkim Himalayan Sporting Club [SHSC] executive members convened an interactive meeting with parents of its players here at the club house in Tathangchen today. During the meeting, the executive members and coaches briefed parents on the progress of their respective wards and shared details of the Club’s future programmes and plans.
Also today, in the monthly lucky pick of the club for its members, Neelam Gurung won the first prize, while second and third prizes were won by Asish Rai and Leeyong Lepcha respectively.
On the occasion, the U-16 team of SHSC played an exhibition friendly match with the U-16 team of Corinthian FC, Pakyong which the latter team won 6-5.
Similarly, an exhibition friendly match was played between the senior team of SHSC and Aakraman XI which the hosts won 06-02.
SHSC president Tenzing Lamtha shared that such friendly matches provide the club’s players with exposure and a platform to gain more experience. He mentioned that such activities will be held ob a regular basis.
