GANGTOK, 06 July: The Second Teenage Summer Camp organized by the East Presbyterian Youth Fellowship [EPYF] at Gangtok EPCS Church from 02 to 05 July was attended by 95 teenagers associated with the 11 EPCS churches in East Sikkim.
An EPCS press release informs that the programme had Pastor Bisesh Barnabas Subba, Rev. Bijay Chettri, Bro. Bijay Sherpa, Hanna Sherpa and Pro Ps. Pem Kitter Sherpa as resource persons.
The objective of the program was to assist holistic development of teenagers and to imbibe spiritual, intellectual, emotional and social attributes and thereby empower them to combat the prevalent issues of addiction, alcoholism, stress, emotional disorder, suicide, etc.
On 04 July, the birth anniversary of Padre Ganga Prashad Pradhan was also celebrated to commemorate his contribution towards the translation of the Bible into Nepali.
