GANGTOK, 12 Dec: On the occasion of completing 17 years in office the ruling SDF party convened a meeting at its party office chaired by the party vice-president, KB Chamling, informs a press release issued by the publicity secretary, Prem Karki.
The meeting deliberated over the party’s achievements during its 17 years in office and credited the party’s achievements to the fine work rendered under the party’s leadership, to the general masses, the party workers and the representatives of all the local bodies, the release informs.
The house, on behalf of the party, extended its gratitude to the party president, Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, for providing the people with the best possible environment for growth.
The meeting, conducted by the East District Party Committee, Amos R Lepcha was also addressed by the vice president, KB Chamling, and president, East District Party In-charge, DT Lepcha, the release mentions.
Also present at the meeting were senior party workers including Satish Chandra Rai, Karma Ongmu Bhutia, Laki Doma Bhutia, Krishna Lepcha, HM Rai, Dawa Bhutia and Puran Rai. The vote of thanks was proposed by the convener, Cultural Cell, Basant Lamichaney.
