NAMCHI, 25 Aug: Namchi is gearing up for grand ‘Teej’ celebration and is all prepared to host and conduct the state level ‘Teej’ celebration this year. The celebration will be held at Siddeshvar Dhaam premises in Solophok Namchi on 27 August 2014 (23014, according to Nepali calendar).
Keeping in mind the auspicious and religious importance of ‘Teej’ festival the ‘Chettri-Bahun Paarivarik Sudhar Samiti‘ and its members from in-and-around Namchi along with Shree Siddeshvar Dhaam Parivar will jointly organize this festival. It is informed that many groups from different parts of the state will also participate in the cultural activities during the ‘Teej’ celebration.
The cultural activities performed will be related with ‘Teej’ festival and its essence like plays and dramas, dance, ‘Lok Dohori’ and many more. The celebration will start from 9:30 am onwards. The organizing committee has expected active as well as good participation from the people, while at the same time the ‘Teej’ organizing committee of Namchi Teej Festival has called upon all the participants to preserve Hindu Sanskriti, culture and the reverence and admiration it holds, by observing ‘Teej’ in a grand manner, as it is an important festival for Hindu followers. The organisers have also invited the Chief Minister for Namchi ‘Teej’ Festival.
