Second win for RMDD
GANGTOK, 25 Aug: Social Welfare Department defeated Irrigation Department with a lone goal today in the ongoing 3rd Inter Departmental Football Tournament here at Paljor Stadium. Karma Sonam of Social Welfare was adjudged the Man of the Match.
The other match between Sikkim Nationalised Transport and Human Resource Development Department ended in 3-3 draw. Fabian Lepcha of Sikkim Nationalised Transport received the Man of the Match title.
On Sunday, Rural Management & Development Department registered its second win defeating Forest Department 4-2. Santosh Bagdas of Forest Department was awarded with the Man of the Match trophy.
The second match, between SISCO Bank and Human Resource Development Department Pakyong ended in a 1-1 draw. Both the teams missed several opportunities to take the lead in the match. Nim Tshering Bhutia of SISCO was adjudged as the Man of the Match.
On Saturday, Power Department thrashed Home Department with 5 goals to nil in the tournament. Dinesh Subba of Home Department was awarded with the Man of the Match title.
In the other match, Land Revenue Department registered a victory over Agriculture and Horticulture Department with a solitary goal. Ong Tshering Lepcha of Land Revenue was adjudged as the Man of the Match.
