GANGTOK, 13 Jan: Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh is scheduled to visit Sikkim from 29-31 January and is expected to address a function at the Central Agriculture College at Ranipool on 29 January.
During his three-day visit to Sikkim, the Union Minister is expected to visit ICAR and organic farming units in and around Gangtok. This will be his first visit to Sikkim since he assumed the charge of Union Agriculture Minister in May 2014.
The State government is expected to give a power point presentation on farming and allied sectors of the state. The Union Minister will also be appraised about the State Organic Mission and will also review the state's performance in organic farming, informed officials of the Horticulture department.
