GANGTOK, 08 Jan: A central executive committee meeting of Nepali Sahitya Parishad [SNP] was held under the presidentship of its vice-president, Chunnilal Ghimirey on 06 January to discuss the next edition of its monthly inter-disciplinary programme which started from 27 November last year.
A press release issued by SNP publicity secretary, Hemant Giri informs that the meeting decided to conduct this programme on 15 January from 11:30 PM onwards. The meeting also decided to invite renowned Nepali feature films director, Pratap Subba for the programme. The NSP has also invited personalities from language, literature, art and music to attend the programme.
The meeting also expressed its deep condolence on the demise of renowned Nepali literary figure, Gopal Narayan Pradhan and observed a two-minute silence, remembering him as someone who had contributed immensely towards the development of Nepali literature.
