Marwari Yuva Manch extends support to Alpha Centre for Learning

GANGTOK, 24 June: Members of Marwari Yuva Manch, Sikkim Chapter, visited the Alpha Centre for Learning located at Lower Sichey today and presented a gas stove, ration for one month for 40 children, clothes, school bags, shoes and some stationery items.
A press release informs that the Marwari Yuva Manch team led by its president, Ajay Agarwal was welcomed by Vice Chancellor of the ICFAI University Sikkim and the president of the Sikkim Alpha Society, SG Tashi.
While welcoming them, Mr Tashi appreciated the gesture and thanked the Manch members for their generosity towards the children of the centre who hail from disadvantaged families, informs a press release.
The other members of the Manch, Sundeep Malu, Nitish Agarwal, Amit Agarwal, Dheeraj Bansal and Rohit Rathi expressed their happiness at the opportunity to serve people.
They said that they will continue to provide support to the Sikkim Alpha Centre for Learning with rations every month along with other kinds of support in future, the release mentions.
Sikkim Alpha Society, a successor of the Alpha Foundation of the ICFAI Society, is an apolitical non-profit oganisation started with the initiative of some generous Sikkimese and staff members of the ICFAI University Sikkim to help the marginalized sections of the society in the vicinity of the ICFAI University Campus in Sichey area.
