GANGTOK, 27 June [IPR]: On the occasion of ‘Paryavaran
Mahotsav 2014’ the Department of Cooperation organized a mass cleanliness and
plantation drive at the premises of Sahakari Bhawan, Tadong, in the morning
today. Secretary Cooperation Department, Ujjal Gurung planted a flower bearing
tree sapling provided by the Forest Department. He also urged everyone to get
actively involved in the drive and highlighted the government’s vision to make
the state clean and green. The plantation drive also saw the participation of officers
and staffs of the department including the cooperative societies of Gangtok.
