Stop coupon system for LPG distribution, SPCC demands

GANGTOK, 21 Apr: Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee [SPCC] has questioned the efficacy of the coupon system used in issuing LPG cylinders. The party has demanded that the concerned department take appropriate action and stop this practice. SPCC has further said that if the practice is not discontinued within a week, the party will lodge FIRs against the distributors across the state.

In a press release, SPCC has alleged that the coupon system is encouraging black marketing of LPG n the state. It has further alleged that many consumers are being refused their supply even though there is sufficient stock in the godowns on the pretext that their coupon is invalid and other such excuses.
