GANGTOK, 21 Apr: The final match of the Boys’ Club Inter Academy Football Tournament for U-14 Boys was played between Padma Odzer Choeling, Chongay and Boys’ Club, Gangtok here at Paljor Stadium on Sunday. In the nail-biting match, Boys’ Club emerged victorious after defeating Padma Odzer Choeling in a tie-breaker.
The full time score was 1-1 and the match was extended for the tie-breaker to decide the winner. In the tie-breaker, Boys’ Club won the match by 4 goals to 3.
The three-day tournament was organized by Boys’ Club from 18 April. The tournament had eight teams from Gangtok, Mangan and Pakyong. Boys Club has plans to make this tournament an annual feature, it is informed.
