Annual athletics meet at Mamring School

GANGTOK, 21 Apr: Government Senior Secondary School Mamring organized its annual athletic meet at the school’s playground from 27 March to 17 April. The finals were held on 17 April which was attended by Deputy Director, HRDD, BAC Pakyong, SD Sangderpa as the chief guest.
A press release informs that the athletic meet included events like Long Jump, High Jump, Relay race, Short put, Balloon bursting, 100mtr race, etc. The school's principal, Dushyant Tamang welcomed the chief guest and other invitees on the day. The chief guest, in her address, appreciated the school’s efforts in promoting co-curricular activities for the all-round development of the students.
All the winning athletes were presented attractive prizes and certificates. The whole day’s function was conducted by teachers, Mahendra Sharma and Rita Sharma, the release mentions.
Gram Panchayat, members, SMC members, senior citizens, staff and students were present on the occasion.
