It was so satisfying that the much awaited polling in the State went
off peacefully.
The senior citizens who went to cast their votes were well taken care
of, and many, to their surprise, had officials on duty escort them duly
skipping the long queues and assisted in casting their votes without any
hassles. The Chief Secretary, accompanied by Secretary Home, was hovering all
over to ensure that no untoward incident took place.
On behalf of the Senior Citizens of the State, it is to convey our
grateful thanks to the State Administration as the whole and the Chief Electoral
Officer and his dedicated staff detailed for the purpose in particular. We wish
the sequence of events to follow all the best.
