GANGTOK, 14 Apr: 1046 students will be receiving their Degree certificates from the Regional Center Gangtok during the 27th Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University [IGNOU] scheduled to be held on 16 April. On the day, 321 Masters Degree, 417 Bachelors Degree, 272 B. Ed and 36 PG Diplomas will be conferred.
A press release informs that Nepali litterateur Dr Shanti Chettri will be present as the guest of honour at the function to be held at Regional Centre Gangtok and will also deliver the convocation address. The function will be held at the auditorium, Sikkim Government College, Tadong.
It is informed that the function at New Delhi will have Secretary, Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Ashok Thakur is scheduled to be present as the chief guest while Vice Chancellor, Sri Lanka Open University, Dr Vijitha Nanayakkara will be present as the guest of honour.
