Roshan Pradhan gets interim bail in Yakha assault case

GANGTOK, 29 Jan: Roshan Pradhan, the main accused in the attack on SDF party worker, Avinash Yakha, on 22 January has applied and been given interim relief by the South district courts in the form of an interim bail.
According to information received, Roshan Pradhan was granted the interim bail today. This is an interim relief which will be in operation till 06 February when the actual hearing will be held for anticipatory bail as applied by the accused in the courts. What this means is that Roshan Pradhan cannot be arrested by the police at least till 06 February on the said case. Beyond that the court will deliberate further.
Roshan Pradhan is the main accused in the assault on Avinash Yakha at Temi in which the latter was hurt and was then admitted at the CRH, Tadong. The accused, along with other SKM party workers, was booked by the police on charges of attempt to murder, assault and other charges.
In relation to the assault on Avinash Yakha, an incident  in which two journalists had a narrow escape, the police have already picked up 4 SKM party workers.
