GANGTOK, 09 Aug: Mathematics was formally introduced under Audio-Video System at Singtam Senior Secondary School here in East district today with the Khamdong- Singtam MLA, Am Prasad Sharma, inaugurating “Heymaths” along with the school library.
The inaugural function was also attended by Singtam Councilor Bisnu Maya Sherpa, Ram Naresh Prasad, SDC president, Rajesh Rai, panchayat secretary, Bimal Lamichaney, Pradeep Sharma, and other members from SDC and SMC.
The school principal, Tsheringki Chingapa informed that the achievement was through funds released from RMSA to set-up a library and audio-video system and an additional grant of Rs. 50,000 given by the Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling, during his recent visit to the School.
The school has also procured a laptop and a sound system. She also informed about the recent installment of projector and laptop under “Heymaths” scheme provided by the government with the appointment of one teacher, Upendra Singh who is undergoing training at present.
The MLA, taking detailed accounts of the Mid Day Meal scheme, inspected the kitchen and served the meal to the students today.
