GANGTOK, 08 Aug: The Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson, Kunga Nima Lepcha, whose petition challenging the State Government’s withdrawal of Delhi Special Police Establishment Act was disposed recently, has “appealed” to the general public “not to get carried away by mala fide and false rumour” in respect of the case and warned that “any misleading publicity pertaining to the case in question shall be brought to the notice of the Supreme Court along with necessary documents”.
In a press statement issued today, Mr. Lepcha informs that the Supreme Court disposed off the matter “giving liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh petition challenging the order of the State Government of Sikkim in response to the request made by the CBI seeking consent of the State Government to formally investigate the allegations made against the Chief Minister of Sikkim, Pawan Chamling and 12 others”.
