GANGTOK, 26 July: Association of Roman Catholic Educational Institutions (ARCEIS) organised a Science Exhibition at Namchi Public School on 23 July, informs a press release. The exhibition was divided into senior and junior categories with seven and eight member schools participating respectively.
The science exhibition is organised annually by ARCEIS at different schools and this year president of ARCEIS and principal of St. Joseph’s School, Rhenock, Rev. Fr. Paul D’souza was present as chief guest. The judges for the competition were professors, Sandhya Rai and Srijana Dewan from Loyola College of Education, Namchi along with Diwashkar Sharma, the release informs.
In the senior category St. Joseph’s school Rhenock bagged the first prize followed by Holy Cross Tadong and St. Francis’ school, Jorethang. In the junior category St. Francis’ school, Jorethang bagged the winning trophy while St. Joseph’s Convent, Martam stood second and St. Xavier’s School, Pakyong third.
St. Francis’ School Jorethang was adjudged the overall winner, while St. Joseph’s school, Martam and Holy Cross Tadong stood second and third respectively.
