Goals continue to pour at second division Sikkim League

GANGTOK, 24 July: A hattrick by Tika Hang Subba helped GVSFA [Central Pendam] to register one more victory at the ongoing Second-division Sikkim League at Paljor Stadium on Sunday.
GVSFA outplayed Tibetan Youth Club [Gangtok] 3-1.
Tika Hang completed his hattrick with goals in the 21st, 34th and 68th minutes. The lone goal for TYC was scored by Phu Tshering in the 63rd minute.
In the second match of the day, Brotherhood FC [Ranipool] thrashed RYSFC [Middle Arithang] 10 goals to nil.

Sanjit Subba opened the goal account for BFC in the 2nd minute itself and completed his hattrick with goals in the 13th and 30th minute and his teammate Sanjit Subba added four goals in 10th, 20th, 44th and 55th minutes.
One goal each was added by Milan Lepcha in the 15th minute, Kamal Pradhan in the 22nd minute and Karma Namgyal in the 53rd minute for BFC.
Before the matches, a two-minute silence was observed to mourn the passing away of the mother of the Deputy Director [Coaching], Sports & Youth Affairs, Thupten Rapgyal.
Likewise, Denzong Boys [Junior] and UBFC added one victory each to their accounts yesterday.
In the first match, a brace by Lhendup Lepcha marched Denzong Boys to a victory over Bhaley Dara FC [West Sikkim]. Interestingly, Bhaley Dara had taken the lead in the match with a goal from the boots of Bishan Rai in the 21st minute. A brace of Lhendup Lepcha in the 40th and 52nd minutes, however, nullified this lead and took Denzong Boys ahead.
In the next match, UBFC [Ravangla] thrashed Lower Arithang FC 6-1. For UBFC, Prakash Rai [16th], Tsephel Wanger [32nd], Nabin Rai [62nd], Har Bahadur [68th] and Nima T Sherpa [70th] scored one goal each. The lone goal of Lower Arithang was scored by Ashok Mangar in the 66th minute.
