GANGTOK, 22 July: The Final Phase-II selection for Allianz Junior Football Camp 2011 is scheduled to be held on Saturday at Bhaichung Stadium, Namchi, from 11:30 a.m. onwards, informs a press release.
Students who have qualified the school-level tests across the hill region will be participating. The selection process will be held under the supervision of coaches Suren Chhetri and Mayal Lepcha, and East Bengal footballer, Nirmal Chettri, the release informs.
Allianz, the official partner of FC Bayern Munich, is hosting its third international football camp scheduled to be held in Munich, Germany, in August later this year. During the camp, youngsters between the ages of 14-16 years will be given an opportunity to train under FC Bayern coaches at the club’s official training ground, attend a match at Allianz Arena and meet football stars from the club, many of whom represented Germany in the FIFA World Cup.
The winners from the final selection will also be given a chance to further groom their football skills at the Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy, the release further informs.
