Vajrakilaya Chaam at Ralong today


GANGTOK: Palchencholing Monastery at Ralong in South Sikkim is hosting the Vajrakilaya ritual monk dance (Zabdun Phurdrub Garchen Chaam) on 13 April. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. on Wednesday with empowerment of assuming the Vajrakilaya Siddhi and long life. Distribution of dharma nectar medicine is also included in the morning ritual. The organisers at the monastery inform that the mask dance depicting Black Hat Dance (Zhanag Chaam), animal-masked dance etc, will start at 7:30 a.m. and continue through the day.
