IMO inspects Organi Mission in West Sikkim

GANGTOK, 01 Aug: The External Inspection (Audit) of Mevedir by Institute of Marketecology [IMO] was held from 21 to 31 July covering 174 farmers under Sikkim Organic Mission Phase I and Phase III, a Mevedir press release informs.
The inspection, the release adds, was carried out in West Sikkim by IMO Inspectors Rohin D’ Souza, Sonu Pandey and Kiran R of IMO. IMO Control Private Limited (IMO India) is the first certification body in India in the field of organic agriculture and ecological products.
The inspection was carried out at Khaniserbung, Chota Samdong, Mendogaon, Chakung, Deythang, Suldung-Kamling, Mabong Segeng, Takuthang, Bara Samdong, Sangadorji, Gelling Samsing, Soreng, and Chumbung.
The inspection, it is informed, was carried out with ICS documents as well as ICS farms of West District. Milan Rai (Project In-charge, SOM Phase III) and Pranai Thapa (Project In-charge SOM Phase I) of Mevedir accompanied the auditors. The Inspection went well with new findings and learning of the success of Organic Mission, the release states.
