Fourth grade employees of North Sikkim meet

MANGAN, 31 July: The IVth grade employees of North District held a meeting here at District Hospital conference hall on 29 July under the leadership of president Fourth Grade Employees Association North, Yushep Lepcha, general secretary Passang Thendup Bhutia, treasurer, Kamal Gurung, information secretary, Hari Kumar Gurung and others.
The meeting was especially held on the issue of upgradation, fixation of scale and uniforms for the fourth grade employer.
During the meeting, it was discussed that they are yet to get their uniforms and they have requested the government to designate one shop in the district which will provide the uniforms for the convenience of the employees.
It was also discussed that employees who have crossed ten years of service should be upgraded.
Further, the meeting also highlighted that the pension process be expedited since the file has been lying pending in the concerned office for several months causing harassment for the pensioners.
