Governor and CM convey Id-ul-Fitr greetings

GANGTOK, 28 July: On the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, Governor Shriniwas Patil and the First Lady Rajanidevi Patil extend warm greetings to the people of Sikkim.
In his message, the Governor conveys, “This festive occasion, marking the end of ‘Ramadan’ the holy month of fasting of all Islamic brethren, symbolises faith and unity. May this festival bring an end to the conflict being witnessed by the global community threatening the ideal of universal brotherhood, the core teaching of Quran.
On this happy occasion let us commit ourselves towards fostering the brotherhood and harmony among all sections of society.”
Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and Smt Tika Maya Chamling have also extended their warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr. In his message, the Chief Minister has urged the people of the state to maintain peace and brotherhood and rededicate ourselves for the service of the society, state and the nation.
